Legal
Terms of Service
The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY — to be confirmed], trading as Harmony AI Technologies (“we”, “us”). By creating a RoofCalc account or using RoofCalc, you agree to them. If you use RoofCalc for a company, you agree to them for that company and confirm you are allowed to.
The service
RoofCalc is this website (https://roofcalc-app.vercel.app), the app at https://roofcalc-flutter-web.vercel.app, and the API behind it. It measures roofs from outside building data and helps you price the job. Features marked “Coming soon” on our site are not available yet. We may add, change or remove features, and we will tell you before removing one you pay for.
Your account
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password to yourself. Each account is for one person; team seats are not available yet.
- Tell us at hello@harmonyaitechnologies.com straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Measurements are estimates
RoofCalc measures roofs from outside data: Google's Solar API on paid plans and OpenStreetMap building footprints on every plan. That data can be missing, out of date or wrong. On some roofs the pitch is estimated, and edge lengths are always calculated rather than measured. The confidence score is a guide, not a promise.
Check every roof on site before you order materials, give a final price or sign a contract. RoofCalc is not a roof inspection and does not tell you whether a roof is safe to work on.
Plans, credits and payment
- Current plans, prices and allowances are on the pricing page. Paid plans and token packs are not on sale yet. These rules apply once they open.
- One measurement credit is used each time a measurement succeeds and is saved to your account.
- Paid plans renew automatically each period until you cancel, and are charged through Stripe. At each renewal your credit balance is set to the plan's allowance, or kept if it is already higher.
- Token packs are one-time purchases that add credits to your balance. Pack credits have no expiry date.
- You can cancel in Stripe's billing portal, opened from the app. [CANCELLATION TIMING AND REFUND POLICY — to be confirmed]
- Prices do not include taxes unless the pricing page says so. [SALES TAX — to be confirmed]
- If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you before your next renewal. [NOTICE PERIOD — to be confirmed]
Acceptable use
Do not:
- use RoofCalc to break the law, or to track or harass anyone;
- try to get into other people's accounts or data, or get around credits, request limits or security;
- overload or attack the service, or run automated bulk requests without our written permission;
- copy, resell or republish the underlying map and building data in breach of its providers' terms.
Your data
The addresses, notes and rates you put into RoofCalc are yours. You give us permission to store and process them to run the service for you. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and who processes it.
Outside data and services
RoofCalc relies on outside services, including Google, OpenStreetMap, Mapbox, Microsoft, Stripe and Vercel. Their own terms apply to what they provide. Building data from OpenStreetMap is © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License.
RoofCalc is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by GAF. GAF is a trademark of its owner. Other product names on our site are trademarks of their owners, and we are not affiliated with them.
Our software and name
RoofCalc, its software and its name belong to us. While your account is in good standing you may use RoofCalc for your own business. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using RoofCalc at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
No promises beyond these terms
RoofCalc is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms. In particular, we do not promise that measurements will be accurate, or that the service will always be available or free of errors.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost jobs, material or labor costs, or other indirect losses that come from using RoofCalc or relying on a measurement. Our total liability for any claim is limited to [LIABILITY CAP — to be confirmed by counsel]. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we will update the date at the top. For changes that matter, we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using RoofCalc after that, the new terms apply.
